Day 2: Tuesday, October 19, 2010
San Antonio
Your day begins with a fascinating tour of San Antonio. History and culture abound with visits to the Mission San Jose, the second mission established by Fray Antonio Margil de Jesus in 1720, and the King William District which was established in the 1840's. This is followed by the Alamo which played a critical role in the Texas Revolution. People worldwide continue to remember the Alamo as a heroic struggle against impossible odds - a place where men made the ultimate sacrifice for freedom. The remainder of your day is at leisure to discover San Antonio on your own. Your Tour Manager is on hand to recommend attractions and sightseeing so you can experience the best of this unique city.

Day 3: Wednesday, October 20, 2010
San Antonio - Stonewall - Fredericksburg - Bandera - San Antonio
This morning you travel to Stonewall to enjoy a visit to the LBJ Ranch, birthplace of the 36th President of the United States, Lyndon B. Johnson. On your tour of the ranch you will view the “Texas White House” and learn about living in the Texas “hill country.” Later journey to the heart of hill country to the German settlement of Fredericksburg where you will have time to independently explore the quaint shops. Discover one of Fredericksburg’s best kept secrets during a demonstration and tasting at Chocolat, the only chocolatier to create liquid praline in the United States. Then, visit one of the regions most historic vineyards for a tour and tasting of great locally produced wines. Continue to the “Cowboy Capital of the World”, Bandera, for a traditional Texas cowboy BBQ and rootin’ tootin’ entertainment at an authentic dude ranch.

Day 4: Thursday, October 21, 2010
San Antonio
Your morning is at leisure to discover more of San Antonio. Take a streetcar to many of the downtown attractions or enjoy some shopping at the Rivercenter Mall. This afternoon, visit the Institute of Texan Cultures*, San Antonio’s cultural experience museum dedicated to enhancing the understanding of cultural history and its influence upon the people of Texas. Then, you’ll visit the San Antonio Shoe (SAS) factory and see where these famous shoes are made right before your eyes! Experience the flavors of true Tex-Mex cuisine as you learn the art of cooking and making the perfect Margarita - then enjoy your creations! Later, cruise along the Paseo del Rio, also known as the Riverwalk, one of Texas’s most prized attractions.
