Day 1: Calgary, Alberta
Join Collette Vacations as you explore the beautiful Canadian Rockies by train. Your exciting vacation begins in the dynamic city of Calgary.

Day 2: Calgary - Lake Louise
This morning enjoy a panoramic view of the city from the observation level of the Calgary Tower where you will enjoy breakfast. Later, view spectacular Moraine Lake and the awesome Valley of the Ten Peaks. This afternoon you arrive at the world-famous Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. This hotel, called the "Diamond in the Wilderness", is surrounded with snow-frosted Rocky Mountain peaks, secluded next to a legendary lake and showcased by a majestic glacier. Spend the balance of the day indulging in the splendor of this magnificent resort. (B, D)

Day 3: Lake Louise - Icefields Parkway - Banff
The highlight today is a journey along the unforgettable Icefields Parkway: behold majestic waterfalls, rushing rivers, glacial peaks, imposing cliffs and snowcapped mountain ranges. A stop will be made at the Columbia Icefields, where you may choose to participate in an optional ride (weather permitting) across this mass of glacial ice which is over 1,000 feet thick. As you continue down the parkway, you will most likely see bears, furry marmots and stately elk. Stop at the serene Peyto Lake before arriving in Banff, your home for the next two nights. (B)

Day 4: Banff
Today you will journey to lovely Bow Falls and the impressive Hoodoos, land of sleeping giants. Later, enjoy some time at leisure in the quaint village of Banff; you may choose to browse through the shops and museums, or just take in the natural beauty of the area. You may also choose an optional visit to Sulphur Mountain for an incredible tram ride that offers magnificent views of Banff and the nearby Rockies. (B, D)

Day 5: Banff - Rocky Mountaineer Train - Kamloops
Board your train for the scenic journey of a lifetime. The Rocky Mountaineer train will give you a vibrant voyage between Banff and Vancouver. Spend two days viewing coastal forests, roaring river canyons and lofty mountain peaks. Today you will pass the striking peaks of the Monashee Mountains. Tonight you arrive in Kamloops for an overnight stay. (B, L)

Day 6: Kamloops - Vancouver, British Columbia
Continue west aboard your train as your route takes you along the fields of Fraser Valley and the historic Fraser River. You will also view the beauty of the Thompson River and the shimmering waters of Kamloops. Early this evening your train journey ends as you arrive in the beautiful city of Vancouver. (B, L, D)

Day 7: Vancouver
Experience the splendor of Vancouver with a sightseeing tour that begins at Stanley Park. You will also visit Chinatown and the waterfront area. Your tour ends in Gastown, Vancouver's turn-of-the-century pedestrian mall filled with pubs, restaurants, art galleries, specialty stores, and the world-famous steam-powered clock. (B, D)

Day 8: Vancouver - Tour Ends
Today you will depart for home with a lifetime of memories of this spectacular region.
