35 YEARS WITHOUT ELVIS - Celebrate the life of an icon as part of a Collette Worldwide Holidays Music Cities Tour
02/13/2012
- This year, it will be 35 years since the death of Elvis Presley – and swathes of over 50s across the UK can still remember where they were when they heard the news that the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll was gone. It is an event that will be remembered at Graceland, Elvis’s palatial home/museum this year with three new exhibits including ‘Icon : The Influence of Elvis Presley’ which will feature many artifacts on loan from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland. The exhibit will celebrate Elvis’ status as a music pioneer and icon who paved the way and influenced many of today’s artists and notable celebrities.
Escorted Touring specialist, Collette Worldwide Holidays, features a 9 day tour of America’s Music Cities which includes a visit to Graceland as well as a trip to the historic RCA Studio B in Nashville where Elvis – along with Dolly Parton and Charlie Pride – recorded some of his greatest hits. The tour also takes in the jazz capital of the world, New Orleans and includes a backstage tour of the Grand Ole Opry Show in Nashville.
The tour costs from £1749 per person, based on two sharing and including accommodation, many meals, international flights, the services of a Collette Worldwide Tour leader throughout and free door to door pick-up within 100 miles of your departure airport.
