These dates are Collette’s assurance that a tour will operate on the day it is scheduled and will not be cancelled for lack of participation. “We’ve seen a huge increase in demand for 2010,” says John Galvin, Collette Vacations’ Chief Financial Officer. “In 2010 we will operate more dates and have more guaranteed dates than in 2009. While other tour operators have opted to reduce capacity, the trend we are seeing right now on a weekly basis is actually running better than 50% increase week over week. We are very hopeful that departures will be up over 50%.”
